High School Student

You鈥檙e a dual credit student if you are a student in high school, or home school, and want to earn college credit while attending high school.

91制片厂 currently offers the following dual credit learning options:

Dual Credit

A program that allows high school students to take college courses that count for both high school and college credit. Classes can be taken at the high school or college campus.

Collegiate High School (CHS)

a specialized high school at 91制片厂, in which high school students work to earn their high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously. This is a selective program that requires students to apply for admission.

Early College High School (ECHS)

A program offered by Texas City ISD (TCISD) in partnership with 91制片厂 (91制片厂), where students can earn a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously. This program is designed for students in grades 9-12 who are at risk of dropping out or who might not otherwise consider pursuing college.

Step 1 - Meet with Your High School Counselor

Students should first meet with their high school counselor to discuss which dual credit option is the right fit.

Step 2 - Complete Dual Credit Interest Form

Once a student has met with their high school counselor and discussed which dual credit pathways is the best fit, students should then complete the 91制片厂 Dual Credit interest form here. Click on 鈥淩eady to Join Dual Credit鈥� to get started.

Step 3 - Meet with 91制片厂 Dual Credit Enrollment Coach

Our enrollment coaches are here to guide you through the entire enrollment process, making it easy and stress-free. From your first step to your first class, they鈥檒l be with you every step of the way, providing the support and answers you need.

Step 4 - Apply for Admissions

Complete and submit your admission application at .

Step 5 - Complete Necessary Testing Requirements

If you plan to earn an associate鈥檚 degree, you will need to demonstrate college readiness by completing a TSI assessment.

Not all incoming students need to take the TSI Assessment.

Students with a TSI Assessment exemption can enroll in any entry-level college course.
SAT or ACT scores may qualify you as college ready.
Students interested in workforce certificate, like welding or cosmetology, do not need to test.

Step 6 - Set Up 91制片厂 Email

Once your application has been accepted by 91制片厂, you will receive instructions for setting up your official 91制片厂 email account. Official communications from the College to its students is sent through the 91制片厂 email account.

Step 7 - Submit Supporting Documents

After your admission application is accepted, you will need to submit any required supporting documents, if applicable. This includes:

For students who are 21 years old and younger, submit current meningitis vaccination records, which can be submitted via email to admissions@com.edu or the Upload Documents Portal.
Vaccinations must be no more than five years old and must be administered more than 10 days before the start of classes. Learn more about meningitis vaccinations here.
If students are unable, or unwilling, to provide vaccination records, they may complete a . This waiver must also be sent to admissions@com.edu.

Step 8 - Accept Student Financial Responsibility Agreement

Each semester, every 91制片厂 student is required to accept the student financial responsibility agreement (SFR) before registering for courses.

Log in to .
Click on your user profile and select "Required Agreements."
Click on "Student Financial Responsibility Agreement" for each term reflected.
View and accept the agreement.

Step 9 - Register for Classes

Course Planning and Registration

Once a student has completed all necessary steps to enroll, the final step will be to meet with their Dual Credit Enrollment Coach to plan and register for classes. Students should also meet with their high school counselor to review their dual credit course plans before registering for classes.

Tuition Payment

Once registered, students will need to submit payment for Dual Credit courses prior to the payment deadlines.

Online payment (via )
In-person payment by visiting the Cashier鈥檚 Office in the Doyle Family Administration Building during business hours.
Over-the-phone payment by calling the Cashier鈥檚 Office at 409-933-8377 to pay in-full with a debit or credit card.

Students who qualified for the National Free and Reduced Lunch program in any of the four prior academic years may qualify for Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST). Students who qualify will not pay for tuition, fees, textbooks or supplies.
