Steps to Transfer

  3. When you are ready to transfer, apply to the college or university through their application portal (Apply Texas, Common App, etc.)
  4. Pay the application fee (Explore opportunities for a fee waiver)
  5. Request your official transcript to be sent from 91制片厂 to your next institution: /admissions/transcripts.html
  6. Complete and/or update your FAFSA/TASFA application to include your next institution for Financial Aid awards
  7. Review any transfer scholarships, grants, orientation dates, and advising requirements on the institution鈥檚 website

The word 鈥渢ransfer鈥 means to move from one place to another. As a student, you can take courses at one college and bring those courses with you to another college.

What documents do I need to transfer?

  • Request your official transcript to be sent from your current college to your transfer college/university. You can request these records from your school鈥檚 Admissions Department.
  • Provide any required immunizations records to your transfer college/university.

What classes are eligible to transfer?
Any courses that are a part of a transfer degree have the potential of being accepted by the receiving institution. Most colleges/universities will require a 鈥淐鈥 grade or higher for course credits to be accepted.

How many classes can I transfer to another institution?
Each college/university can be different, however the average number of credits that can be transferred to another institution is 60.

What is the process to transfer out of state?
