Texas Educator Certification Examination Program through Pearson

The Texas Education Agency contracted with Pearson for the administration of the Texas Examinations of Educator Standards鈩� (TExES鈩�), Texas Examinations for Master Teachers鈩� (TExMaT鈩�), Texas Assessment of Sign Communication鈩� (TASC鈩�), and the Texas Assessment of Sign Communication鈥揂merican Sign Language鈩� (TASC鈥揂SL鈩�) programs.

Registration & Scheduling Information

Step 1: Registration

To take an exam, you must first create an account and then complete the registration and payment process at the .

Step 2: Scheduling

Once you have registered to take an exam, you may schedule your test appointment online 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Test appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

To schedule a test appointment you must first be registered to test.

  • Log in to your account at
  • select 鈥淐urrent Registrations鈥�
  • and then select "Schedule" for the exam you wish to schedule

After you schedule your test appointment, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email listing your test appointment date and time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.

Rescheduling or Canceling an Exam

To reschedule or cancel a test appointment,

  • log in to your account at
  • select 鈥淐urrent Registrations鈥�
  • and then select 鈥淩eschedule/Cancel鈥� for the exam you wish to reschedule or cancel

You must reschedule or cancel a test appointment at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
